Ashurst Engaging with Local Communities

24 Oct 2016 1:48 PM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

Law firm Ashurst recently issued a pro bono and corporate responsibility report outlining the firm's global engagement with local communities around the themes of justice, opportunity and empowerment. In addition to local charitable activities, Japanese qualified lawyers in the firm's Tokyo office (Ashurst Horitsu Jimusho Gaikokuho Kyodo Jigyo, associated with Ashurst LLP) already provide pro bono advice on matters of Japanese law. With several lawyers qualified in Australia or England & Wales, the Tokyo team is keen to identify charities, non-profits, social and micro enterprises based in Japan who require legal advice on those overseas jurisdictions and who may qualify for pro bono legal advice under the "opportunity" or "empowerment" themes.
