2021 Annual General Meeting and Executive Council Election
The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan’s 2021 Annual General Meeting and Executive Council Election will be held on Wednesday 24 November, 2021, online and at the New Zealand Embassy, Tokyo.
Six positions are available for the 2021-2023 Executive Council, with the absentee voting period open between Wednesday 17 November and 5pm on Tuesday 23 November. Please click the link below to download a copy of your absentee ballot or proxy voting form.

What is the role of the Executive Council?
The Executive Council is the governing body of the ANZCCJ, consisting of 12 Councillors. As a group, the Executive Council determines the Chamber’s policies and priorities and oversees its financial affairs. The main roles and responsibilities of Executive Council members include:
Who can become a member of the Executive Council?
All current members of the ANZCCJ are eligible for nomination to the Executive Council. According to the ANZCCJ Constitution, the Executive Council must consist of:
The Executive Council will require at least one New Zealand member holding Corporate Membership, and at least one member holding Individual Membership for the 2021-2023 Executive Council Election.
How do I vote?
Each Corporate and Individual member of the Chamber has one vote with a weighted value (Platinum 4, Gold 4, Silver 4, Bronze 3, Individual 1). For example, a Platinum member company can submit one vote, which will carry a weighted value of 4. Those with Individual memberships can also submit one vote, which will carry a weighted value of 1.
Due to COVID-19 safety measures, in person attendance at the 2021 AGM will be limited to the current Executive Council members and 2021 candidates. Any ANZCCJ members not attending in-person will be able to watch the AGM live via Zoom, and will be able to vote via absentee or proxy vote.
Absentee and proxy voting forms will be accepted by the ANZCCJ Secretariat between Wednesday 17 November and Tuesday 23 November.
