The 7th Sabae Monodukuri Exhibition

The Sabae Chamber of Commerce and Industry has invited ANZCCJ to participate in its Monodukuri Exhibition during 26-28 October. The Sabae Monodukuri Exhibition will showcase the technologies and products of the members of the Sabae Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Approximately 80 members will display their latest products, such as eyewear, medical instruments, and lacquerware, and demonstrate technologies.

Sabae is one of the three renowned eyewear-manufacturing districts in the world. Sabae-made glasses frames have 96% of the domestic market and 20% of the international market. In Sabae, one in six of the residents works in the eyewear industry. Some companies have entered into new fields such as medical instruments, musical instruments, parts for the aerospace industry with their precision processing technology.


Date: Friday, 26 October and Saturday, 27 October from 10am - 5pm and Sunday, 28 October 10am-4pm

Workshop: Visitors can participate in the workshops held by some member companies and experience the essence of monodukuri. Programms include handloom weaving, kumikoworks, origami and making accessories with glass materials.

Marketplace: Visitors can enjoy the shopping of Sabae-made products such as glasses frames, sunglasses, cleaning cloths, sake, and regional foods.

Digital Technology Exhibition: The University of Electro-Communications, Fukui University of Technology and the National Institute of Technology Fukui College have concluded partnership agreements with the Sabae CCI and Sabae City will present their latest research developments on digital technology.
