Japan New Zealand Business Council Annual Joint Conference

The Japan New Zealand Business Council (JNZBC) annual joint conference is scheduled to be held in Kashiwa City on 18-19 September this year with the focus on resource management, sustainable development, innovation, creativity, technology exchange and adding value through partnership.

The conference will include a mix of company presentations and moderated panel discussions as a segue into Q+A and business networking on the conference floor and in the corridors. The plenary sessions run all day on 18 September leading into the buffet-style welcome reception in the evening. The plenary sessions will resume in the morning on 19 September concluding with a closing session before lunch followed by an Industry Tour (a chance to get out and see something of the local economy) in the afternoon, and a sit down farewell dinner in the evening.

Agenda items for the conference include: Current Economic Situation and Outlook for NZ & Japan: CPTPP, RCEP and the Global Economy;  Infrastructure and Investment;  Sustainable Development/Renewable Energy (including forestry); Agriculture (Functional Foods); Innovation (AI, VR etc) Start-ups; and The Maori Economy & Tourism.
