The JANZ (Japan-Australia-New Zealand) Ladies’ Group will be conducting its annual spring afternoon tea on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the New Zealand Embassy. We feel very privileged to be able to hold this event at the beautiful Ambassador’s Residence and would like to express our sincere appreciation to Ambassador Payton, and his spouse, Ms. Janet Lowe for their wonderful support.
We are very fortunate to have Mr. Peter McMillan, the author and translator of the award-winning book, “One Hundred Poets, One Poem Each” (Hyakunin Ishhu) as our guest lecturer. Mr. MacMillan is not only a scholar and translator but is also a poet and an artist. He shall be introducing us to the unique world of Japanese poetry anthology and the competence and expertise of translation.
Please come and enjoy this engrossing lecture and delightful afternoon tea. Guests, both ladies and gentlemen (high school student and over), are all welcome.
