Sonja is the General Manager of Tokyo’s Peninsula Hotel, one of the very few Forbes five-star hotels in Japan and she will share her insights on the meaning of luxury, the importance of investing in your staff, and the challenges of maintaining a luxury hotel.
A Forbes five-star rating signifies flawless service and amazing facilities. There are only 210 Forbes five-star hotels in the world, and all ten properties operated by The Peninsula Hotels bear the highly-coveted five-star status.
This has given the group the distinction of becoming the first brand to ever have all of its properties bestowed a Forbes five-star.
Sonja’s extensive hospitality experience include many years in Japan in various roles, and she will share unique insights on what it means to drive a culture of change and innovation while remaining relevant in today’s highly competitive and ever-evolving luxury hospitality industry.
