Sally Townsend – ANZCCJ Chair | South Australia Commissioner to Japan and Korea
Hailing from Adelaide in South Australia, Sally Townsend studied economics at The University of Adelaide. She came to Japan in 2000 to teach English, then went on to polish her Japanese skills at a language school.
She subsequently decided to pursue a full-time degree in sociology at Nihon University, graduating in 2008. She continued living in Japan after graduation, working first for a wine importer and then for a Singapore-based luxury lifestyle company.
In March 2019, Sally took on her current position as South Australia Commissioner to Japan and Korea. An active participant in the Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan since the beginning of her career, she became Chair in January 2019.
Kanna Mihara – ANZCCJ Executive Council | Senior Vice President, Macquarie Capital Securities (Japan)
Kanna has 11 years of experience in commercial and investment banking. Since 2016, she has been heading Private Capital Markets team in Japan where her primary role is to connect Japanese capital to global infrastructure opportunities.
Before joining Macquarie, Kanna engaged in commercial lending for non-EU EMEA companies in Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s EMEA headquarter in London for 5 years. Kanna started her career as a business consultant at BaringPoint (currently PwC) where she worked on various projects for Japanese companies.
Don Roxburgh – CEO, Wholesum Japan
Originally from New Zealand, Don Roxburgh has been a resident in Japan for over 25 years. After graduating from a Japanese University, Don spent 18 years as a professional in the Finance/Investment field in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and India, before setting up Wholesum Japan, an importer of wholesome, tasty food and natural skincare products that are simple and safe for everyone.
