On 14 November, the Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ), in association with the Young Entrepreneurs Group of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Japan YEG), co-hosted an International Business Connections event at Ruby Jack's Steakhouse & Bar, Tokyo.
The event brought together 160 international guests from a variety of industries to promote business matching and information sharing between Japanese SMEs/entrepreneurs and overseas firms planning to expand their market and/or the range of products and services supplied to Japan.
The event had two sessions. Session one, which was co-hosted by ANZCCJ and Japan YEG, was a seminar featuring presentations by ANZCCJ SME members Fusion Life and KOB. Ms Akino Myoi and Ms Wakako Hara discussed their experience with doing business with Australia and New Zealand and offered YEG members advice for their own businesses.
Following this, session two provided the chance for guests from the participating foreign chambers of commerce to mingle, meet potential business partners and discuss new opportunities for international collaboration. The foreign Chambers of Commerce that participated in the event were:
- Austrian Business Council
- The Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Japan
- The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan
- Danish Chamber of Commerce Japan
- The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan
- The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Japan
ANZCCJ would like to thank members and guests for joining us for a lively evening of networking opportunities. We would also like to offer a special thank you to our co-hosts, Japan YEG.
