As part of ANZCCJ's ongoing Australian Real Assets series, we are pleased to invite members and guests to join us on Wednesday, 15 July 2026 for our next instalment - this time turning the lens squarely on Australia's commercial real estate sector, with a deep dive into the office and industrial markets.
While residential and Build-to-Rent have dominated recent conversations, Australia's office and industrial sectors are presenting some of the most compelling risk-adjusted opportunities for Japanese institutional capital today. Prime office assets in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are seeing a decisive flight to quality, with vacancy bifurcation creating attractive entry points. Meanwhile, Australia’s industrial and logistics sector remains underpinned by constrained supply, limited infill land and resilient occupier demand, creating a compelling entry point where assets acquired below replacement cost are positioned to capture a renewed cycle of rental growth and value creation.
The session brings together Australia's leading real estate developers, fund managers, financiers, and advisors to provide a frank, investor-focused assessment of both sectors - covering market dynamics, financing structures, legal frameworks, and the trusted local partnerships that have underpinned successful Japanese capital deployment to date.
This is a must-attend event for Japanese institutional investors, financiers, developers, and advisors looking to understand where the real opportunities lie in Australia's commercial real estate markets in 2026 and beyond.

After many months of fanfare, COP26 concluded on November 13 2021 with the nearly 200 Parties agreeing on the Glasgow Climate Pact. But what does this agreement actually entail and how will its contents impact business? Does the GCP meet, exceed or fall short of expectations? Now that its “wheels up” for COP26 delegates, what will the actual market response be (if any)? How will countries turn these promises into action, and what will be the role of the private sector in achieving these targets?
On the morning of Tuesday 22 February, BCCJ Executive Committee Responsible Business taskforce leader Tove Kinooka will sit down with industry leaders to review the key outcomes of COP26, and share takeaways from the private and public sectors.

About
This “Beyond COP” series of events is being convened by a coalition of international Chambers of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ, ANZCCJ, BCCJ, CCCJ, IJCC) with the aim of promoting understanding of and action on critical climate issues. Pre-COP26, the coalition’s aim was to build awareness and engagement ahead of the conference; the group now moves into review mode, to provide helpful analysis of key conference outcomes, and co-create practical, industry-specific action points for businesses of all sizes.
